At present, Bill Gates is actively continuing his philanthropic work. He has announced that over the next 20 years, he will donate nearly all of his wealth—around 200 billion dollars—and will close the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation by 2045.
Additionally, in February 2025, he published his memoir titled Source Code: My Beginnings, where he reflects on his childhood and the early years of founding Microsoft.
Therefore, Bill Gates is alive and continues to be engaged in both his charitable initiatives and writing.
